The Yazoo River Basin Projects consists of four U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dams that were constructed for flood control in the 1930s and 40s: Enid Dam, Sardis Dam, Arkabutla Dam, and Grenada Dam. They are located in Northern Mississippi, and were constructed together as part of a comprehensive plan to control the region’s flooding. As with other flood control structures, FFP plans to construct powerhouses at the outflow channels below the dams. These four Projects will have a combined nameplate capacity of 20.5 MW and will generate 102.5 GWh annually
